Local West Los Angeles Assistance
At UCC, we have a vision to transform homes, community, and the world by loving God, genuinely loving people and tangibly loving our city, one person at a time. While weekly assistance with food is offered at the UCC Filling Station, there are many excellent resources in the West Los Angeles area that provide broader assistance to those in need.
Places providing help:
Many agencies, as part of the Westside Food Pantries, provide groceries and food for people in need. Please contact a local agency directly for assistance.
The Westside Coalition is an alliance of 46 organizations, public agencies and faith communities committed to working collaboratively on issues of housing, hunger and health through service coordination, public education and advocacy.
Other Local Resources:
Located in Downtown LA, The Dream Center, Union Rescue Mission, and Fred Jordan Missions provide food and various other resources for individuals and families who are homeless or struggling with poverty.
St. Jerome in Westchester serves hot meals on the 3rd Saturday of every month.
SOVA is a food pantry and resource center in the Pico-Robertson area of West LA and is open Sunday through Thursday.
